So we've created this handy little guide to help you find your ring size at home

How to Measure Your Ring Size From Home

You can measure your ring size at home using the simple string method

You can use this method to wrap something around your finger, like a piece of string or paper and then measure where it met on a ruler.

    • Take some string or a piece of paper no wider than 1.4 cm.
    • Wrap it around your finger and mark with a pen where one end of the string or paper meets the other.
    • Then line the string or paper against a ruler and read off the measurement.
    • Using this chart, you can match your measurement to a ring size.

    Some handy tips

Your ring should be nice and snug enough not to fall off, but not too tight. A ring should slide over the knuckle with some slight resistance and you should be able to take it off fairly easily but it shouldn’t fall off your finger.

The best time to measure your finger for your size is in the evening. Your fingers naturally change size throughout the day, and after a whole day, your fingers will be at their largest. It's always best to follow the largest measurement.

Try not to measure your fingers when they are cold, as they can often be a good half size smaller than they naturally are. Likewise, it is best not to measure them when they are hot either, as your fingers tend to swell a bit.
